Marner Primary School

Primary School expansion scheme through five phases.

A complex, five phase expansion scheme which ultimately enabled the school to increase from 2 – 3 form entry whilst also refurbishing and rationilising the existing school accommodation. Crucially, the school was required to remain in full operation at all times which provided considerable challenge in unifying the ultimate design intent whilst also inconveniencing the school operations as little as possible.

The principle extension included new classroom, hall, kitchen and office accommodation and was separated from the existing school building using an atrium to enable improved circulation as well as natural light and air to access existing areas.
